Profile Summary:

I am Omoniyi Olaoluwa (Msc), a Lecturer II in the Department of Medical Rehabilitation, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.  A Physiotherapist with a strong commitment to teaching, research, and community engagement, and a clear public health orientation. My academic work is focused on advancing physiotherapy practice through evidence-based, innovative, population-centred and technological approaches. My research interests include Neurology, Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy, Digital Health, Sports, and Physical Fitness with particular interest in health promotion, disease and injury prevention, rehabilitation, performance optimization across the life course. My work emphasizes population-based and technology-enabled physiotherapy interventions aimed at improving physical activity participation, functional outcomes, and quality of life, especially within low-resource and underserved settings.

As an academic, I am committed to high-quality teaching and student mentorship, fostering critical thinking, and promoting ethical, patient-centred, and population-focused physiotherapy practice. I value interdisciplinary collaboration with dedication to contributing meaningfully to the advancement of physiotherapy education, research, and service delivery in Nigeria and beyond.
