I am Oyewole Adewale Isaiah (BMR, M.Sc (PT)), a Lecturer II in the Department of Medical Rehabilitation, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, with strong academic, clinical, and research interests in orthopaedic and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports medicine, physical activity, oncology and community health physiotherapy. I am actively involved in undergraduate physiotherapy education, with a commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical excellence, and community-oriented healthcare delivery. My teaching and research focus on improving functional outcomes, injury prevention, rehabilitation strategies, and health promotion across diverse populations. I have over 4 years of experience in teaching physiotherapy students across different levels. I employ student-centred and problem-based learning approaches to foster critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and professional competence.
My responsibility as an academic focus on high-quality teaching and student guidance. My goals are to encourage critical thinking and to promote ethical, patient-focused physiotherapy that also considers public health. I strongly value teamwork with other professionals, and I am devoted to meaningfully advancing how physiotherapy is taught, studied, and delivered in Nigeria and globally.
